An historic hotel in an excellent location but giving the impression of resting on its laurels
Excellent location. Food of good quality.
Reception staff initially rather unfriendly but later seemed more relaxed. Mistakes made by two inexperienced waiters at dinner who were obviously still in training - we were given food intended for another table which was then hurriedly taken away. This also happened to guests at another table. Garden seemed a little neglected.

lots of space in the gardens, charming helpful staff, the little town is beautiful. lovely swimming pool.

We just stopped off over night on a long journey back to UK from the Auvergne
The restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was delicious and all at a reasonable price too. The room was clean and very quiet. Unfortunately, we did not have breakfast because we had to leave early to be on time for our ferry, but the smell of the croissants baking made us regret such an early start
